Working theory
Ultrasonic scalpel consists of main components such as generator, handle, scalpel, and foot pedal. There is a transducer in the handle, which converts the high-frequency electrical energy provided by the host generator into ultrasonic mechanical vibration energy, and transmits it to the cutter head while transmitting ultrasonic energy to perform hemostatic cutting or coagulation of the tissue. High-power ultrasonic waves can vaporize moisture in tissue cells in contact with the blade in an instant, break protein hydrogen bonds, disintegrate cells, and cut the tissue. The frictional heat caused by mechanical vibration can coagulate and stop bleeding while cutting the tissue. Correct Different surgeries can be performed by selecting the blade.
The scalpel has two blades, one is the working blades that applies ultrasonic waves, and the other has a white toothed pad. The purpose of this white pad is to better hold the tissue and enhance the coagulation effect.
